The rock landscape of Yehliu Geopark is one of most famous wonders in the world. The costal line is stretching in a direction vertical to the layer and the structure line; besides, the influences caused by wave attack, rock weathering, earth movement and crustal movement all contribute to the formation of such a rare and stunning geological landscape.

    Sky lanterns are made with rice paper, thin bamboo strips and wire and are powered by kerosene-soaked prayer papers. They are popular with people who want to be blessed for various reasons. Many Taiwanese believe in releasing a lantern personalized with their wishes to begin new year on a high.

    [Rainbow Military Community]

    The Rainbow Village is a street art in Nantun District. It was created by former soldier, Huang Yung-Fu. He began painting houses in his settlement, now known as Rainbow village. Over the years his colorful artwork, which includes birds, animals and people, has spread over the remaining houses in the village.

    National Taichung Theater is a continuation of the 1987 completion of the National Concert Hall and Theater. After nearly 30 years since the first opening of a national performance venue, NTT is a 21st-century cultural facility that is not only a new landmark in the city, but also represents a cultural step forward.

      [Chung Tai Chan Monastery]

      Following the Grand Master’s compassionate vow to provide a complete environment for all who wish to learn the Buddhist teachings, the design of Chung Tai Chan Monastery began in 1992. This landmark building opened its doors on September 1, 2001, initiating a new era of Buddhism dissemination for Chung Tai.

      Tai Pu Tea Center, owned by generation tea farmer Mr. Lin, is located on Sun Moon Lake14th road. The tea is wholesaled to tea merchants around Taiwan so tourists can get the most beneficial price. Oolong tea from Tai Pu Tea contains special fragrance and sweet aftertaste which let it stand out in several tea competitions.

      Xuan Guang Temple was constructed in 1955. It is located at the border of Sun Lake and Moon Lake. In the temple the bone of Xuan Zang master who has great contribution to the Chinese Buddhism is consecrated.

       [Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village]

      The Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village is an amusement park in Yuchi Township which has been in operation since 1986. It is distinctive for its Formosan aboriginal culture theme. The park contains the tallest free-fall ride in Taiwan as well as Taiwan's largest European gardens and bell tower.

      [Feng Chia Night Market]

      Feng Chia Night Market, also called Feng Chia Shopping Town, is located next to Feng Chia University. It was claimed to be the largest night market in Taiwan. In November 2015, the night market was commended by the Ministry of Economic Affairs for its order in management, friendliness to tourists and sustainable practices to the environment.

         Shou Sin Fang primarily sales Japanese local Wagashi and relative products, and it had become well-known Wagashi specialty store in Taiwan. To pursue perfection, they keep the original flavor without losing Taiwanese style. Not only the taste but also the appearance had been specially designed and made.

        [Yangmingshan National Park]

         Yangmingshan National Park has the distinctive Datun volcano group and is the upstream catchment area of the Greater Taipei area. The park features a complete, natural ecosystem and is the ecological, societal, and economic lifeline of Taiwan's northern coast and the Taipei basin. It is the core ecosystem of Greater Taipei and the surrounding islands.

        Taipei 101 formerly known as the Taipei World Financial Center is a landmark of Taiwan. The building was officially classified as the world's tallest in 2004. It not only offers world-class office environment but also gathers the finest in fashion and refined dining around the world.

           The Bo'ai Special Zone is a buffer zone in Zhongzheng District which houses several critical government office buildings. Buildings built within this area have to comply with the 24-meter height limit.

          [Kai-shek Memorial Hall]
          The National Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall is a national monument, landmark and tourist attraction erected in memory of Chiang Kai-shek, former President of Taiwan. The monument, surrounded by a park, stands at the east end of Liberty Square. The structure is framed on the north and south by the National Theater and National Concert Hall.
